An abstraction of a human torso glazed with tones of red and brown.
Is an abstract piece part of a main serie where the base is a torso, each piece is painted with a different design. This piece is part of the collaboration UDLAP and Uriarte Talavera in 1999 called “Talavera Contemporanea”
The piece has two designs on the outside and other in where we can consider the inside. The exterior is a monochromatic design with straight lines following the direction of the sculpture but inside there are spirals in a game between black and white.
Gerda Gruber is an sculptor important in the movement of Contemporary clay sculpture in Mexico. She arrives to Mexico in 1975. In Gruber’s work abstract forms.
