Series of Plates - I

This series includes sequences from the life of Saint Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris. The scene is quite possibly a depiction of the siege of Paris either by Atilla the Hun or by the Frankish King Childeric. The fact that there is no halo above the Saint’s head is rather intriguing.
