Hal Blaine is the most recorded drummer in history. Along with the other members of the studio group known as the Wrecking Crew, Blaine is the accompanist to Phil Spector’s “Wall of Sound." He is one of the most sought-after session drummers in L.A. and has played on forty Number One singles—enough to make his own Top 40. Blaine was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the Award for Musical Excellence in 2000. This diary from 1965 shows a week in his busy schedule.
