The practice of playing and manufacturing toys arises at the time when men developed their first interactive skills with the environment and the socialization process, conveyed through the generations. The vertical urbanization of the big cities – with the gradual reduction in leisure spaces – coupled with the technological process of industrialization of the toys start to lead to an immediate consequence: the near extinction of the handcrafted production of toys, which reminds us of the need to preserve this cultural product that remains alive in the Northeastern imagination.
