Shawnee County Fair poster

General Stewart L. Woodford was advertised as a main draw for visitors at the 1870 Shawnee County Fair. As a brigadier general and former lieutenant governor of New York, Woodford was an important man. He would eventually go on to serve in Congress and as the U.S. Minister to Spain.
