The story of Snow White and the Sevens Dwarfs has entertained children for several centuries. The story began as a folk tale known in Europe from as far west as Ireland to as far east as Asia Minor. Recognizing the story's popularity, the Brothers Grimm included it in their 1819 book of fairy tales. Other versions followed, including one by Walt Disney. Released in 1937, the film was Disney's first full-length animated feature film, and the first color, animated film in motion picture history. It consistently ranks among the greatest films of all time; in 2007 it ranked at #34 in a list of 100 and was the only animated film in the list. In 1989, the film was added to the United States National Film Registry as being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." This song, "Heigh-Ho," was played when the seven dwarfs were marching to and from work in the jewel mines.
