shepherd horn, hollowed in shape of pipe. Made of two pieces of wood put back together with glue. The instrument is decorated around with engraved patterns with floral and geometric motifs. Originally used for signalling, driving spirits away (mainly by shepherds), nowadays used by artists of the folk revival.
