Shiga Kogen at an altitude of 1600 m. The area is designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserves ( eco-park in Japanese). This is the point where we use a single-lens digital camera to record the observation of tree phenology such as the opening and yellowing leaves of the dake kamba trees. In the spring, during the breeding season, you can hear the calls of the Japanese bush warbler and other songbirds, as well as the calls of the forest green tree frog (Moriaogaeru, Rhacophorus arboreus .
