In the village of Shiiba, staple foods include hunted foods, millet, and buckwheat, with the majority of this produced through slash-and-burn agriculture. Nowadays, the sight of slash-and-burn agriculture can only be seen in Shiiba, and the original, primitive slash-and-burn technique is only upheld by Katsu Shiiba.
