This object is a model of a single-masted merchant ship known as a “cektirme,” a vessel type commonly used during the Ottoman period for maritime trade. The model represents a traditional “cektirme” produced in Inebolu, reflecting the region’s long-standing shipbuilding tradition.

This ship model was gifted to the Turing Museum of Century-Old Brands by the Mecit Cetinkaya brand.
