The Amsterdam warship on the left is busy manoeuvring. The sails on the main and mizzen masts on the starboard side still catch wind. The ship's rudder is turned to port. It is likely that they are waiting for a pilot, who is probably approaching with the fishing vessel (pink) approaching in the foreground. On the far left, another large seagoing vessel can be seen, which is leaving for sea. The merchant ship central in the background is also seabound. The fluit on the right is sailing shoreward. In the foreground a few wooden barrels are part of the buoys.
