A typical 17th century Hungarian shirt, with short, straight sleeves and a round neck. The edges of the sleeves are decorated with a narrow line of metal thread. The pattern shows pomegranates among lobed leaves. A shirt of a similar cut is worn by Duke Pál Esterházy in his 1655 portrait.
