A simple statue, combining an elephant head with that of the bull and assimilating the form of a serpent into both, portrays spiritual unity of Vaishnava and Shaiva sects. However, all forms contained in the form of Shiva’s bull Nandi suggest that Shiva is the supreme God beyond time and space.
