Yantorny was considered the most exclusive and expensive shoemaker in Paris during the early twentieth century. Complementing his shoemaking skills, he studied the art of making shoe trees in London before opening his business in Paris in 1908. Molded to the client's foot shape, the featherweight hollow construction and luminous varnished finish resemble those of a violin. Every pair of Yantorny shoes is fitted with these unique trees.
