The origin of the present KAMEDA SEIKA was the "Kameda Farmers' Association consignment processing plant" which was founded in 1946. It was a small operation with just six people who made their mizuame (rice syrup) and baked snacks near the shop in a warehouse that used to be for making soy sauce. In this image you can see the sign above the entrance to the shop.
