During the reign of Henry III there were two issues of silver pennies. The first (1216-1248) was similar in type to the last issue of Henry II. In 1248 the reverse design was altered to a cross with limbs extending to the edge of the coin, and having three pellets in each angle. Accession number RMM 7271
