Commemorative shovel donated by Ohio Governor Bob Taft that dates from 2001. It has a white metal blade, a green wooden handle and a white plastic grip. A rectangular gold-colored metal plaque attached to the handle is engraved "OHIO UNIVERSITY / LAUSCHE HEATING PLANT / SORBENT INJECTION PROJECT / 23 April 2001."
