Showcase with an annotated auction catalogue of Galerie Helbing from November 1933 with a handwritten entry “A. L. Mayer”. The art historian August Liebmann Mayer (1885-1944) was also persecuted by the Nazi regime and emigrated to France in 1938. In 1944 he was tracked down in Monte Carlo, arrested and deported to Auschwitz, where he was murdered on 13 March 1944.
