Consuelo Velázquez presented an installation at the MUSA in 2015 of various crochet objects focusing on the issue of child violence. The museum kept her piece Sonido silente (Silent Sound), work which the author says expresses the uselessness of swings—the sound they make when swaying back and forth can no longer be heard due to the dangers children face in parks. The piece was accompanied by an iron, a belt and other elements she considered domestic objects used for torturing children. In the entire ensemble, she experimented with the possibilities offered by the artisanal practice of crochet. In it, the artist substituted yarn for white cotton thread to create each of the pieces in the installation.

The interpretation of the meaning of the toy is transformed by the incongruity of the soft material used and breaks the expectation of service provided by a durable metal swing, giving way to a vision evoking maternal figures and the protection of children.
