Almost fanatical diligence and tenacity swiftly rendered results: works by the artist, who stood out among the St-53 group from the very beginning, became a strong argument for accepting him in January 1958 by ZPAP (Association of Polish Artists and Designers). In the same year, they were presented at his first individual exhibition in the prestigious Krzywe Koło Gallery in Warsaw, arousing interest of the then art critics, such as Julian Przyboś, Bożena Kowalska or Alfred Ligocki, who followed his development from then on.
