The design of a silvatta is dependent on the type of stone used to make it. This silvatta was heavier and thicker in comparison to examples recorded across Haryana. Despite having an electric mixer at home, the lady of the house preferred to grind spices on the silvatta, since the flavours and aroma of the spice pastes are better when ground using this method.
