Pandemic containment exercise conducted by the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Indonesia with the support of WHO Country Office in Indonesia in:
- Kassi-Kassi and Bontomakkio villages
- Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Hospital, Soekarno
- Hatta Seaport and Hasanuddin Airport Makassar
Indonesia has been infected by H5N1+ virus since August 2003. The MoH conducted an early containment of outbreak human to human transmission of H5N1+ virus infection or potential pandemic influenza strain.
This simulation took place in urban area of Makassar city in South Sulawesi province. It involved government-owned company located in the quarantine area and international coordination particularly in mobilizing logistics from Bangkok to Makassar.
