Single-volume Qur'an

The Khalili Collections

The Khalili Collections

The opening and closing folios are fully illuminated, and the main field of their design is very similar to the frontispiece of a section of another fine multi-part Qur'an made for Öljeytü at Mosul (now in the British Library, Or. 4945). The copyist also wrote a magnificent 30-part Qur'an for the same ruler.
