A Comprehensive Geography of Joseon
A manuscript of the complete edition of Sinjeung Donggukyeojiseungram was compiled into 25 volumes covering 55 chapters after being edited in 1485 and 1499 and supplemented in 1530. Its title means “a newly supplemented geographical survey of towns throughout the country.” Since the book was compiled systematically through the sustained, collective efforts of many scholars, it has been lauded for its supreme level of completeness as a geographical survey of all towns throughout the land.
