Sir Francis Carruthers Gould

Gould, a political cartoonist and book illustrator was born and educated in Barnstaple, Devon. He became a regular contributor to a range of magazines and journals including Truth and the Pall Mall Gazette and the Westminster Gazette. He established his own paper, Picture Politics in 1894.
