Sir George Dyson

Sir George Dyson (1883–1964) was the fourth Director and the first to have studied at the College. He was passionate about music education, before the RCM he was the Director of Music at Wellington and Winchester College. Upon his appointment as Director of the RCM in 1938, he redesigned the curriculum and created a Contemporary Music Society.
