The newspaper Sport Italia was the official newsletter of the Sisal tote games.
The first Sisal tote game was based on football and was called "Totocalcio".
In the summer of 1948, Totocalcio was nationalized by special government decree and entrusted entirely to Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano (CONI, Italian National Olympic Committee). Sisal did not lose heart and decided to use the 1X2 formula for a new horse racing tote: Totip was born. This newspaper issue, on the front page, featured news of the assignment of Totocalcio by the Italian Government to CONI, together with the declarations of the then president of the Olympic Committee Giulio Onesti and Sisal's wishes for a future success of the prediction competition to which it gave birth. It also contained the first articles on Totip.
