The newspaper Sport Italia was the official newsletter of the Sisal tote games.
The first Sisal tote game was based on football and was called "Totocalcio".
In the summer of 1948, Totocalcio was nationalized by special government decree and entrusted entirely to Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano (CONI, Italian National Olympic Committee). Sisal did not lose heart and decided to use the 1X2 formula for a new horse racing tote: Totip was born.
The first articles on horse racing were published in this newspaper issue.
