Sitla Khet, Ranikhet

Around 50 km from Almora, the quiet and beautiful cantonment town of Ranikhet is famous for its salubrious climate, panoramic views of the Himalayas and a pollution-free environ. Well-known as the headquarters of the Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army, it also has the Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum. The museum exhibits weapons, photos, etc. to introduce the valour and significance of the military and its various historical occurrences. Ranikhet is popular for the Nanda Devi Peak, trekking ranges, mountainous climbs, golf courses, orchards and temples.
