Inspired by Jessie's new found love for Skateboarding. Lockdown has given Jessie a new pastime- hours of practicing tricks in the lounge and designing her skateboarding, spinning wheels and googling skateboarding.

This piece was made as part of Dancefest's challenge to make a #HalfAMinuteMovie, a 30-second film that rather than focusing on what lockdown had stopped you from doing was inspired by a new skill, a first, an exhilarating new experience, or a life lesson learnt at home.

The work was created as part of Arts Council England's The Way I See It project which captures the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the lives of children and young people, articulated in their own voices, through their own creativity.

Dancefest is a community dance development organisation in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, using the power and joy of dancing to enhance people's lives.
