Skepta at The New Afrika Shrine

Skepta is a trailblazing musician, recording artist and producer from Tottenham, London. Known as one of the leading figures within the UK’s grime genre, the multi-platinum selling artist was awarded the prestigious Mercury Prize in 2018 for his album, Konnichiwa. Proud of his Nigerian roots, Skepta has been a staunch supporter of Homecoming, performing annually at the Lagos festival. In 2018 Skepta was awarded a chieftaincy in his parents’ hometown in Nigeria a title bestowed in recognition of his positive contribution to community wellbeing.
