Illustrated two portraits of Sir Julian Huxley, English evolutionary biologist, author, humanist and internationalist. He is well-known as the first director of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), and as the founding member of the World Wildlife Fund. Knighted in 1958, he is pictured reading and taking notes on the occasion of his stepping down from his UNESCO post. Signed "Eric" by artist.
