It is a figure study of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, made out of wooden construction covered with white plaster. It is 43 cm tall, 25 cm wide and 28 cm deep.
The man rests his weight on his left leg, the right one slightly extended forward. Judging on his pose (left arm resting on his stomach, right hanging loosely along the torso) we may presume that it was a mock-up for a future project of Piłsudski with his saber. Wooden fragment visible between his legs suggests that in the final form the Marshal’s statue was supposed to be wearing a long military coat.
