Sleeping nymph

Figure of a sleeping nymph from the decoration of a fountain.
Found on the site of the Tarraco “schola del collegium fabrum” (construction workers guild), this sculpture would have been part of an ornamental fountain. The water would have flowed through the mouth of the vessel that supported the nymph.
