This is a cooking tool used to shred white radishes, carrots, and potatoes. It has a knife when shredding a large quantity of vegetables at one time. It is made by carving grooves into a long wooden plate, fixing a metal plate in the grooves, and piercing a circular hole in the wooden plate under the fixed metal plate. Some shredding tools have a hanging tab on the edge. The tool shown here is conveniently designed with holes on the metal plate for shredding vegetables.
