This is a small dining table used to serve dishes or to carry meals to other places. Since it is painted with yellowish red lacquer, it is also called a yellowish red lacquer table. It has a dodecagonal tabletop and an edge both carved from one piece of wood. The surface is adorned with an inlaid mother-of-pearl design of landscapes. The bottom consists of eight engraved side panels, which are decorated with an inlaid mother-of-pearl design of flowers and landscapes. Four side panels are open-worked with a “卍” shape.
