In June 2007, Apple introduced the first-generation iPhone in the United States. Later that same year, in November, the phone was brought to market in Europe, but not yet in the Benelux. This happened in 2008 with the iPhone 3G. Their large touch screens and the absence of physical keyboards were among the defining design features of the early iPhones. When it was launched, Apple released two versions of the first-generation iPhone: one with 4 gigabytes of storage and one with 8 gigabytes of storage.
