Museum of Ontario Archaeology

Museum of Ontario Archaeology
London, Canada

The William Joyce archaeological site, a deposit of mid-19th through 20th century Euro-Canadian material excavated by ASI in 2014, has revealed a number of animal husbandry artifacts. Perhaps the most unique is this ferrous metal horse bit. The iron composition and context of this bit indicate that it was manufactured and used in the 19th century.
