The Snake rock is a large rock at the right of the North of the Cave. Snake like depictions in San rock art are not uncommon. Higher up on this Rock you have another snake image, typical of snake like depictions, with its head ending up on an antelope head. The depictions of these snakes in the art are often depicted with tiny erected hairs on them, so it is clear that such conflated images are not meant to be realistic depictions, but rather associated with San religious beliefs. This particular image is depicted with blood gushing from its nose, which might intend to represent a shaman transformed into a part-snake and part-antelope.
