Snow White and Her Friends

The theme of this work is the classic story Snow White in the fairy tale. Luis Chan's surreal world, especially his breathtaking use of color, is free and brave, led by his subconscious. One of the most interesting aspects of his later work is his figure painting. Like his landscapes, figurative images that come from his brush are also products of his imagination. Many weird and strange characters seem to come from cartoons and literary sources. But these characters make viewers involuntarily link them to the unique international environment of Hong Kong and its colonial history.
