Sonia Boyce is a British Afro-Caribbean artist whose work addresses issues of race, ethnicity and contemporary urban experience. Boyce first came to prominence in the mid-1980s with a series of bold pastel drawings about her life growing up in east London. 'So Amazing' is taken from the title of a Luther Vandross song, and was commissioned as a print for 'Make it Happen in Art’. This artwork is on loan to Paintings in Hospitals courtesy of Arts Council Collection, Southbank Centre, London.
