The painting narrates the journey that started from a small land; a land that has green farms and forest, rivers flowing aside, kids playing on the uneven roads, older ones gossiping under an old Banyan tree, farmers ploughing the fields and the younger generation moving away from the village in search of a better lifestyle, leaving all these behind.

Through this first phase of the project, "Kahaani" focuses on reviving the vanishing folklore of the Jaunsar community. Artist from India and abroad painted the walls of houses and a school of Tauli Bhud village in Jaunsar.
