Socks

Made of light brown and maroon wool. Insteps decorated with a large stylized yellow floral pattern and the soles with tiny hexagons. Legs knitted and decorated with heavily stylized red, blue, yellow and green ornaments. An integral part of the traditional men’s dress. Made at the end of the nineteenth century. Knitted with five needles. Ornaments knitted with one needle. Foot length: 26 cm; leg length: 16 cm.
