加納光於 Mitsuo Kano (b. 1933)
A native of Tokyo. Deeply inspired by the poems of Arthur Rimbaud, Kano started copperplate lithography in 1953 and was discovered by the poet and art critic Takiguchi Shuzo (瀧口修造). And, his first solo exhibition brought him to the fore of the art industry. After winning a prize at the 3rd Tokyo International Print Biennale in 1962, he won many more in exhibitions in Japan and abroad. He is a prolific producer of intaglio and lithographic works as well as oil paintings.
