Beonggeoji is a hat made by pounding animal fur in the shape of a brimmed hat. Worn by servants at government offices or privates in the military, the hat was made of pig hair and other rough animal hair without any decoration. Its crown is tall and rounded, and the brim is flat and wide. In Jeju Island, it was also called teolbeollip or teolbeonggeot.
