The photo below shows the Red Army soldiers being led down the hill after surrendering. They had been exposed to sub-zero weather for a long time.

During the bloodless action that followed, an isolated CCF squad, stunned and maimed by the week-long exposure to sub-zero temperatures, surrendered peacefully. They were led back, below, in the custody of United Nations' guards.
