U.S. Army soldiers behind Browning M2 machine gun in foxhole in Europe during World War II. This photo comes from an album that belonged to Harold Okimoto, who was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1941. He was part of the 552nd Field Artillery Batallion, which supported the 100th Infantry Battalion/442nd Regimental Combat Team. In March 1945, the 552nd was sent into Germany to support almost two dozen army units.
