Tambura is a stringed drone instrument played to support vocal or instrumental performances. The Tambura consists of a hollow body. The front of the tanpura, is called 'Tabli' (soundboard), the 'Tumba' (gourd) and the 'Gulu' (neck heel) at the back of the fingerboard.
