<sonic taste> is an interdisciplinary research project which conducts researches on ways to enhance palate experience through sound and music. Recent psychology researches suggest that all our senses can be effectively used to enhance multi-sensory palate experience. The exhibition shows the traits of sound which improves palate experience of Asia, and this will be exhibited in comparison with other regions such as Europe and Latin America in the future. The work shows that which common features and differences multi-sensory connection of palate in different cultures has.

Dr. Felipe Reinoso Carvalho is an associate professor of Los Andes University, and his main research area is multi-sensory experience design. Dr. Carvalho acquired a doctoral degree in psychology from KULeuven, Belgium, and a joint doctoral degree in engineering from Vrjie Universiteit Brussel. He is very interested in combining art and technology. Takuji Narumi acquired a doctoral degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo, and he is currently a lecturer at Graduate School of Information Science and Technology of the University of Tokyo. He conducts researches on wide areas such as perception change utilizing virtual and augmented reality technology and human augmentation.
