Mechanical classroom model of sun-earth-moon system used for demonstrating the reason for seasons, phases of the Moon, lunar and solar eclipses, and eclipse seasons. The first large brass-geared version was built with the help of F. W. Pye of the Western University Machine Shop, although this is likely a later model.
